Case Study

The Brief

Autonomization of airport mobility on the apron with a focus on logistics processes.

Traveling by plane is part of everyday life in our globally connected world, whether for pleasure or business. In the process, the aircraft has become increasingly highly automated, safer and more efficient. In contrast, however, the development of the entire handling processes on the aprons, especially baggage logistics, seems to have come to a standstill. As a result, serious accidents and fatalities occur every year. But the constant physical strain on staff caused by bad weather, shift work and kerosene emissions is also unacceptable. In this case study I tried to find a new interpretation of mobility systems for logistic processes by leveraging state of the art technological components.
